What this site knows about you

Last changed August 2026 · If what the site does changes, this page changes with it.

The short version: this site collects what you choose to type into its two forms — a prayer request, a flower dedication — and works at knowing nothing else. No advertising, no analytics scripts, no trackers, nothing sold to anyone, nothing shared beyond what each form says on its face. The rest of this page is the detail, written to be read rather than scrolled past.

The prayer form

What you type — your name, how to reach you if you choose to leave that, and the request itself — goes to the church office by email and on to our pastor, and nowhere else. That is the promise printed on the form, and it is also the entire route the message takes. It is never posted anywhere and never shared publicly.

The church's email is delivered by Resend, which carries the message the way the post office carries a letter. After that it lives in the church office's inbox, like any other letter to the church.

The altar flowers form

A reservation stores the Sunday, your dedication, your name, your email and your telephone number in the church's own database, so the office can look after that Sunday and reach you about it.

The dedication is the public part — being printed in that week's bulletin is the point of it. Your contact details are not. The public page shows only which Sundays are taken, never who took them, and your email and telephone number are visible only to church staff.

The database copies itself each night so a mistake can be undone; those backup copies delete themselves after ninety days. A reservation itself stays until the office removes it, which you can ask for at any time.

The campaign pledge card

The digital pledge card on our campaign site, keep-lithia-cool.org, is this church's form too: it submits to this same site, and this page is its privacy policy. What you put on the card — your name, how to reach you, your pledge, and anything you add in the notes — goes to the church office by email, exactly as the paper card reaches them from the offering plate, and a copy is kept in the church's own database as the campaign's ledger. It lives beside the flower reservations, under the same nightly backups that delete themselves after ninety days.

A pledge is a commitment, not a payment: the card takes no money and never asks for account or card numbers. The office uses what you wrote to record, confirm, and acknowledge your pledge, and for nothing else.

The campaign site's prayer page works the same way, only softer: telling us you prayed requires nothing at all — every field is optional, and an anonymous acknowledgment is kept as a count with nothing identifying in it. If you choose to leave a name, church, or note, it goes to the church office by email and into the same database, is never displayed publicly, and is used for nothing beyond gratitude.

The security check on our forms

These forms — the pledge card included — use Cloudflare Turnstile in its invisible mode: the quiet check that tells a person from software pretending to be one, without making anybody find the traffic lights in a photograph. It runs only on those pages, and you will not see it work.

Turnstile belongs to Cloudflare, and what it examines to make that judgment is theirs to describe: see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. This site sets no cookies of its own anywhere; the check may, as that document covers. (The one other cookie in the building belongs to the office's sign-in, on the private pages church staff use to run the site.)

Being on the internet at all

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare handles the network details of every visit — that is what serving a page is — and uses them to deliver the site and defend it from abuse. What the church sees is arithmetic: how many visits, which pages. Never a profile of a person. We run no analytics or advertising code of any kind, and our address book is not for sale — it is not even a file.

Photographs

Life at Lithia shows photographs of church life, chosen and posted by the church office. If a photograph includes you or your child and you would rather it did not, one email to the office takes it down — no reason needed, no form to fill in.

Giving

Gifts happen at my.lithia.giving through the church's payment processors, ChurchTrac and Harness. Your card details go to them and never touch this website. Their privacy policies apply to the payment itself.

Videos

Where a service video appears, it is embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which asks YouTube not to use cookies to watch you merely for having seen the page. Pressing play is between you and YouTube.

The installed app

If you add this site to your phone's home screen, it keeps copies of pages on your device so they open when the signal does not. Those copies live on your phone and can be removed by removing the app. Nothing about your reading travels back to us.

Seeing, correcting, or removing what we hold

Email office@lithiaspringsmethodist.org or call (770) 948-5429 and ask. A reservation, a request, a photograph — the office can show you what exists and remove it. This is a church office, not a compliance department: a person will simply do it.
